A woman is suing police after she was
allegedly shoved face-first into a concrete cell leaving her with horrific
facial injuries.
Lawyers acting for Cassandra
Feuerstein, 47, have released sickening CCTV footage which they say shows her
being forcibly pushed into a jail cell.
As a result of hitting the concrete
bench, she suffered several broken bones in her face and required
reconstructive surgery.
She had been arrested on suspicion of been driving under the influence of alcohol after she was found asleep behind the wheel of her car.
She later pleaded guilty to the charge but has decided to take legal action against the officer involved because he has faced no disciplinary action.
"The video speaks for itself," Torri Hamilton, Feuerstein's lawyer, told the Chicago Tribune. "She does nothing to justify what this male police officer does.
