Zambia Vs Nigeria: Nigerians Lambast Victor Ikpeba After Commentary Blunder

The Super Eagles of Nigeria opened its World cup 2018 qualifiers on a winning note after defeating Zambia 1 - 2  in Ndola on Sunday.

Arsenal starlet, Alex Iwobi opened the scoring for the Super Eagles in the 32nd minute, ten minutes later, Manchester City forward, Kelechi Iheanacho added to the scoreline to make it 2-0 for the Super Eagles.

Nigeria ended the first half with a 2-0 win. However, Zambia mounted pressure on the Eagles in the second half and were rewarded in the 71st minute when Collins Mbesuma scored one back to make it 1-2.

Though the home side continued to press for an equalizer, the Super Eagles held on to record an away win to go top of the 2018 World Cup group B slot.

However, the high point of the game was not the goals from Iwobi or Iheanacho but the commentary by former Super Eagles player, Victor Ikpeba, according to football fans.

Ikpeba who was Super Sports commentator during the game, didn't only make grammatical blunders but he misinformed Super Sports viewers by saying Alex Iwobi plays for Arsenal City instead of Arsenal Football club.

While some fans called for his head, others were of the opinion that the 1997 African Footballer of the year, made the game more interesting with his blunders.
