The rate of male cross-dressers in
Nigeria especially the mega and hustling city, LAGOS is becoming alarming lately, no thanks to the so called media
professional wannabe, 'BLOGERS' who
give them unnecessary attention.
Since the overnight social media
fame of bleaching cream expert IDRIS
OKUNEYE popularly known as BOBRISKY,
Nigerian Male Barbie or the king of SNAPCHAT
who wouldn't admit to being a GAY
but rather flaunt loads of cash and luxuries given to him by his BAE who is said to be a top politician
in the country on his social media platforms, quite numbers of "future
daddies" who have hidden their homosexuality status for years can now
reveal their true selves to the world not minding the consequences.
Barely two months after Bobrisky got
his social media fame to the extent that he was billed as a MOTIVATIONAL SPEAKER at a conference
organized by a sane consulting firm in Abuja, male dress crossers like Bayo,
Seun and host of others came out burning like fire from nowhere causing major
hit on social media.
As if that was not enough! I
stumbled on a video some moment ago uploaded by LINDA IKEJI with the inscription "LIB Exclusive video
from a cross dressers party in Lagos last weekend" and I was like what on
earth is happening in an African country especially Nigeria?
In the said party, young dudes who parade
themselves as Miss this, or better call it 'Barbie' that, were seen in the
video with heavy makeup on their glowing faces, dressed with full ladies attire
living life to the fullest in their own world.
It calls for questioning what was
worth celebrating in their lives that they couldn't hide their joy or rather
celebrate it on a low key without the public eye.
I'm sure they all have their family
members somewhere watching their shameless act.
The 'BIG' question now is, what on earth has come over our thinking,
belief, culture, religion, pride and dignity?
I think it's time for the Nigerian government,
NGOs, Human right activists and all individuals to stand against this satanic
and bizarre new adoption that is gradually becoming a norm among our future
CEOs, successful politicians, Pastors, Imams or whatever they choose to become.
Technology has changed many things
around the world, an average of a 5-year-old boy knows how to operate a
smartphone without the help of anyone and kids tend to understand the situation
of things faster than the past.
However, I think the menace known as ' male cross-dressers in
Nigeria', needs to be curbed before it gets out of hand.
My opinion thou, thanks for
taking out time to read the little piece.
I am Ganiyat Ganiyu and I strongly
stand against Male Dress-crossers!!!
