Recall that the Appellate Court had on Friday, November 18, adjournedindefinitely the judgment on the appeal filed by substituted governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) in the forthcoming election in Ondo State, to continue with its proceedings.

Mr. Jegede is challenging his replacement by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) with Ali Modu Sheriff's candidate, Mr. Jimoh Ibrahim as the PDP governorship candidate for the forthcoming election in Ondo state.

The Justice Ibrahim Saulawa-led panel also adjourned all other pending appeals, including one filed by Makarfi, relating to the dispute over the governorship ticket of the PDP in November 26 election.

The Saulawa-led panel said it took the decision to adjourn the appeals “sine die” (indefinitely) to await the decision of the Supreme Court on interlocutory appeals filed by the respondents.
