'We Will Not Stop Bombing Until FG Drops Charges Against Tompolo' - Niger Delta Militants

New Niger Delta militant group known as the Niger Delta Peoples Democratic Front, (NDPDF) have threatened to blow up more oil facilities in the region if the Federal Government do not drop the charges against a former militant leader, Government Ekpemupolo, also popularly known as Tompolo.

The group gave this warning through a statement issued on Saturday, November 19, by its leader, General Playboy.

Recall that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, had in February, declared Tompolo wanted over an alleged N45.9bn fraud and charged him to court in absentia.

However, in a statement issued by General Playboy on Saturday, the NDPDF warned the Federal Government to leave Tompolo and any indigene from the oil-rich region alone.

General Playboy also  condemned the raid of Gbaramatu Kingdom by soldiers and said government must apologise to Tompolo over the death of his (Tompolo) father.

According to him,  “You (Federal Government) are coming to Gbaramatu Kingdom in search of militants; how many communities in the North-East have you raided in search of Boko Haram?

“We have said it before now that we will not stop bombing until the Federal Government drops charges against Tompolo and any indigene of Niger Delta, and apologise to Tompolo over the death of his father, who soldiers have killed.

Speaking further, the militant leader also warned that the President Muhammadu Buhari led government will encounter the wrath of the NDPDF should anything happen to former President Goodluck Jonathan and his wife Patience.

In his words, “Let me use this medium to warn the Federal Government that if anything should happen to former President Goodluck Jonathan and his wife, President Muhammadu (Buhari) will see our true colours.” General Playboy said.
