Apostle Johnson Suleman of the General Overseer of
Omega Fire Ministries Worldwide, has been released by the Department of State
Services (DSS).
The agency had invited the Apostle for questioning over his directives that Fulani herdsmen should be killed.
Recall that the agency had last week, trailed the Apostle to the hotel where he lodged after a crusade in Ekiti state, but Suleman quickly reached out to Ayodele Fayose, governor of Ekiti, who intervened on his behalf.
His botched arrest came few days after the fiery clergyman ordered his security aides to kill any Fulani herdsman that attempts to attack his church.
Meanwhile, earlier on Monday, Apostle Suleman maintained that the DSS did the right thing by inviting him for interrogation.
Suleman, who stated this while briefing newsmen in Abuja, said “I presume the right thing was done. They have been in touch with me to come and that is why I am in Abuja, so that I can see them”.
Narrating his experience with the DSS, Suleman wrote on micro blogging site, Twitter: "Just finished with DSS....they were professional....it's well.
"I appreciate everyone who showed love. Still in awe....love you all immensely...may God fight your battles in Jesus name..still amazed". He tweeted.
