Following the deteriorating state of the Yakoyo / Alagbole road, motorists and passersby have called on the Ogun  state government to come to their rescue.

The road which links Yakoyo to Alagbole, has been neglected for over two years now by the state government despite the initial commencement of work on the deteriorating road.

A motorcycle rider (Okada man), Kayode Qasim, who applies the road on a daily basis, lamented that the government have paid deaf ears to their complaints despite their sufferings.

According to him, "This APC government have refused to repair this road for us. I am sure when election draws closer they will come out again and ask for our votes but the common need of this community they cannot fix", Qasim lamented.

Similarly, Esther Abiodun, a mother of two, berated the Ibukunle Amosu's government, stressing that the state government seem not to be concerned if people lose their lives due to the bad road or not.

In her words: "We don't have a government in Ogun state. Imagine when I was pregnant with my second child I had to stay back at home when the pregnancy was 5 months old because I was scared of losing my baby due to this bad road, and now my child is grown yet the road is still as it was", Abiodun queried.

Though motorists and passersby have called on the Ogun  state government to come to their rescue, it is yet to be seen if the government will act anytime soon by fixing the road which has become a pain in the neck.
